A2 Hosting is now hosting.com, and its Black Friday sale starts weeks early: last year it ran from November 3 to December 1, with 6 months free on annual managed WordPress plans (50% off the first year) or $1 for the first month. On shared hosting, the entry plan has been about $1.99 a month in each of the last five sales, and today Starter is already $1.99/mo on a 4-year term.
I'm Mangesh, and I have tested hosting.com's entry shared plan on the same WordPress site I use for every host: 172ms from New York with one visitor and 640ms with 100 at once. Below are the sale dates and offers from hosting.com's own pages, what each plan renews at, and the plan I would pick for a busy site.
⚡ Hosting.com Black Friday 2026: expected in early November

Hosting.com sells three shared hosting plans with cPanel and NVMe storage. Here is what each costs on our standard price record: the monthly rate on a 4-year, 3-year and 1-year term, and the regular rate each one renews at. The longer the term, the lower the monthly rate, and every term renews at the same rate.
| Plan | Storage | 4 years | 3 years | 1 year | Renews at | A year at renewal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter tested | 15 GB | $1.99/mo | $2.49/mo | $2.99/mo | $13.99/mo | $167.88 |
| Pro | 50 GB | $3.79/mo | $3.99/mo | $4.99/mo | $19.99/mo | $239.88 |
| Max | 100 GB | $7.79/mo | $7.99/mo | $9.49/mo | $27.99/mo | $335.88 |
US dollars per month before tax, outside a sale; you pay the whole term upfront. Hosting.com's own pages give different website limits for the same plan: Starter is one website on the cPanel hosting page and five on the main hosting page, and Max is 100 websites on one and 50 on the other, so check the plan card at checkout if the count matters to you. Shared plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee and free website migration.
What A2 Hosting and Hosting.com Offered on Past Black Fridays
We went back to A2 Hosting's shared hosting page and homepage as the Wayback Machine saved them around Thanksgiving each year, and to the same pages in early October. For 2025 the pages are hosting.com's. The table shows the entry shared plan's lowest monthly price on the page, which is the longest term.
| Year | What the page said | Entry plan | Lower than before the sale? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2021 | Startup at 81% off on A2 Hosting's shared hosting page | $1.99, "was" $10.99 | Yes: $2.99 in early October |
| 2022 | "Our Biggest Sale of The Year", sitewide discount up to 80% | $1.99, "was" $10.99 | Yes: $2.99 in early October |
| 2023 | "Black Friday Discount, Save up to 85%" | $1.99, "was" $11.99 | Yes: $2.99 at the end of September |
| 2024 | "Save up to 86%", plans renamed Ignite, Accel, Turbo Velocity and Turbo Nitro | $1.75, "was" $12.99 | Slightly: $1.95 in early October, already billed as "Black Friday-level savings" |
| 2025 | Hosting.com's banner: managed WordPress for $1, six months free on annual managed plans | $1.99, "was" $14.99 | No: the shared plans kept their October price |
The saved copies show the plan pages, not a checkout. The "% off" labels are measured against the regular rate, not against the price on the page before the sale, and the "was" price rose from $10.99 to $14.99 over the five years while the sale price stayed near $2. From 2022 to 2024 the Black Friday banner turned into a Cyber Monday banner and ran into early December.

The shared Black Friday price has been about $1.99 for five years, and today's $1.99/mo on a 4-year term is that price without a sale. The best recorded year, 2024, was 24 cents a month lower, about $11.52 over 48 months. The last sale under the hosting.com name left shared prices alone and discounted managed WordPress instead, so I would not wait for a shared discount that may not come.
How Hosting.com Held Up in Our Tests
We ran the same WordPress site on hosting.com's entry shared plan and on the shared plans buyers usually compare it with. We measured response time (TTFB) from 10 locations at the origin server, with no CDN in front, a load ramp from 0 to 250 clients at once, and uptime over 54 days. Full method: How We Test.
| Host | TTFB, New York | 10 locations | 100 at once | Failed | Uptime |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| hosting.com Entry plan | 172ms | 385ms | 640ms | 0.38% | 99.91% 70 minutes down |
| ChemiCloud Starter | 84ms | 187ms | 240ms | 0% | 99.97% 23 minutes down |
| Hostinger Premium | 276ms | 252ms | 520ms | 0.8% | 99.95% 39 minutes down |
| SiteGround StartUp | 312ms | 285ms | 900ms | 5% | 99.97% 23 minutes down |
Lower is better for response times. "10 locations" is the average TTFB across our 10 test locations; "100 at once" is the response time with 100 visitors at the same moment. Failed requests are counted over the whole load ramp, to 250 clients for every plan except SiteGround's, whose test ramped to 100: hosting.com failed 31 of 8,250, Hostinger Premium 66 of 8,250, SiteGround StartUp 165 of 3,300, and ChemiCloud Starter none of its 8,250.
Hosting.com's entry plan was quick from New York and held a crowd better than SiteGround StartUp, with fewer failed requests than Hostinger Premium. Under 100 visitors at once it was slower than Hostinger Premium and well behind ChemiCloud's cheapest plan, which failed none. The weak spot is distance: it had the slowest 10-location average of the four, so a site with most visitors outside North America should put a CDN in front.
What Hosting.com Costs Over Four Years, Compared
A low first-term price hides the renewal, so the fair comparison is the whole bill. Here is four years on each plan at standard prices: the first term as the cart charges it, then the renewal rate for the rest.
| Host and plan | First term | Four-year total | 100 visitors at once |
|---|---|---|---|
| hosting.com Starter, 4 years | $1.99/mo, 48 months | $95.49 | 640ms |
| hosting.com Starter, 1 year | $2.99/mo, 12 months | $539.52 | 640ms |
| hosting.com Pro, 4 years | $3.79/mo, 48 months | $181.93 | – |
| ChemiCloud Starter | $2.95/mo, 36 months | $249.60 | 240ms |
| Hostinger Premium | $2.99/mo, 48 months | $143.52 | 520ms |
| SiteGround StartUp | $3.99/mo, 12 months | $695.52 | 900ms |
Standard prices before tax, renewing on the same term. The test column is the same load ramp on the same WordPress site for every plan; we tested hosting.com on the entry plan only.
Two things stand out. On a 4-year term Starter is the lowest four-year bill in this table, because the whole period sits at the intro rate. On a 1-year term the same plan costs several times as much over four years, because three of them renew at $167.88 a year. A Black Friday price on a short term changes very little of that.
What Happens When the First Term Ends
The intro price, and any Black Friday price, is for your first term only. After it, Starter renews at $13.99/mo, $167.88 a year; Pro at $19.99/mo, $239.88 a year; Max at $27.99/mo, $335.88 a year. Hosting.com's plan card says it in one line: pay $95.49 today, then $13.99/mo on renewal.
- Put the renewal date in your calendar when you buy, with a reminder about six weeks before.
- Take the 4-year term if you are sure about the host. It has the lowest monthly rate and the longest stretch before the renewal.
- Compare before it renews. Moving to another host can cost less than the renewal; our guide on whether to renew or move walks through the numbers.
How to Buy at the Lowest Price
- Open hosting.com's shared hosting page through our link. In past sales the sale price was on the plan cards, with no code to enter.
- Pick the plan: Starter for one small site, Pro if you want staging or a few sites, Max for many.
- Pick the 4-year term and read the upfront total on the card.
- In the cart, check the plan's website limit, keep only the add-ons you chose, and read the renewal price before you pay.
- Ask for the free migration if you are moving an existing site.

Who Should Buy It
Our hosting.com review covers how it works day to day.
Check These Before You Pay
- The term in the cart. The lowest shared price is on the 4-year term; shorter terms cost more a month.
- Which product the offer covers. Last year's headline offer was on managed WordPress; check the shared price separately.
- The renewal. Starter renews at $13.99/mo after the first term.
- The free domain. It is free for the first year on annual or longer plans.
What I Would Do
For a small site, I would buy hosting.com in its early November sale and take the 4-year term: the shared price has been about $1.99 in every sale, and last year's offer opened on November 3, so there is no reason to wait for Black Friday itself. If you want managed WordPress, last year's 6 months free on an annual plan was the stronger deal.
If the site will get bursts of visitors, I would start on Cloudways: a managed cloud server from $11.00/mo, billed hourly, with a free 3-day trial and $30 credit with CLOUDS2022.

Hosting.com Black Friday FAQ
Is A2 Hosting Black Friday the same as hosting.com Black Friday?
Yes. World Host Group bought A2 Hosting in January 2025 and renamed it hosting.com that April, and a2hosting.com no longer sells under the A2 name. Any Black Friday sale from the former A2 Hosting now runs on hosting.com, and A2's shared plans continue as Starter, Pro and Max.
When does hosting.com Black Friday 2026 start?
Hosting.com has not announced it yet. On the records we have, A2 Hosting's Black Friday prices were on its pages in the last week of November from 2021 to 2024, and from 2022 to 2024 the Black Friday banner turned into a Cyber Monday banner that ran into early December. In 2025 hosting.com's Black Friday banner was up over Thanksgiving weekend.
Is the hosting.com Black Friday price lower than the normal price?
It was under A2 Hosting: the entry plan went from $2.99 in early October to $1.99 on Black Friday in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and from $1.95 to $1.75 in 2024. In 2025 it was not: hosting.com's Black Friday offer was on managed WordPress, and the shared entry plan stayed at $1.99, the price it had shown in October. Today Starter is $1.99/mo on a 4-year term with no code.
Do I need a coupon code for hosting.com Black Friday?
None of the archived A2 Hosting or hosting.com Black Friday pages names a code: the sale price was on the plan cards. Use the price on hosting.com's page at the time and check the total in the cart before you pay.
What does hosting.com renew at after the Black Friday price?
The regular rate, whichever term you start on. Today that is $13.99/mo for Starter, $19.99/mo for Pro and $27.99/mo for Max. The plan card says it plainly for Starter: pay $95.49 today, then $13.99/mo on renewal.
Which hosting.com term should I buy on Black Friday?
Judge it over four years. On today's prices a 4-year Starter term is one payment of $95.49, while a 1-year term is $35.88 and then $167.88 a year at renewal: $539.52 over the same four years. A sale on the 1-year term saves far less than it looks.
Is hosting.com fast enough for WordPress?
In our test, the entry shared plan answered in 172ms from New York with one visitor and 640ms with 100 at once, and stayed up 99.91% of the time over 54 days. It failed 31 of 8,250 requests on the climb to 250 visitors. That is quicker under load than SiteGround StartUp, slower than Hostinger Premium and ChemiCloud Starter, and the slowest of the four from far-away locations.
Can I get a refund on a hosting.com Black Friday plan?
Hosting.com lists a 30-day money-back guarantee on its shared hosting, and A2 Hosting's pages said the same before the rename. Servers have shorter terms on some of its pages, so read the terms for the product you buy on the day you buy it.
